Wee 'R' Special Nursery School grad

The Wee ‘R’ Special Nursery School held its graduation on June 4 — 18 little people have graduated to Kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year! Check the photo on the front page for all the sweet little faces.

The program began with the students entering with Mrs. Karen Combs (Assistant) and then handed off to Mrs. Teresa Nestibo (Director) to the stage. Greetings from the Wee ‘R’ Special Board were given by Teagan Cole. She thanked Karen and Teresa for their continued dedication and caring for the children.

Teresa gave the Director’s remarks. “Thank you to the parents for entrusting their children, their most precious commodity, to us. We love them all and truly wish the best for them.” Teresa continued with a review of the year — the activities, special visitors – both furry and human, concepts learned and lots of fun. She reminded parents how quickly the years with their children pass by, and encouraged them to make the most of that time.

The children presented four poems/songs, including “Apple With One Bite Missing”, “Losing Pieces”, “A Tooty Ta Ta” and “Thank You”.

Throughout the school year, Teresa and/or Karen take photographs which are compiled for an end of the year video. Teagan Nestibo (Teresa’s son) helps his mom with the video and he felt compelled to suggest she cut at least 300 photos from the video (which was already a half hour long). What can we say? Mrs. Nestibo truly does love her students and wants to capture every single moment. The video was incredible and she made copies for every student — what a treasure to keep!

The students received their certificates and then there was a time of cake and refreshments to conclude a memorable afternoon.
