Waskada School Christmas concert

There was a great sense of excitement in the air on December 20 at Waskada School as the Kindergarten to Grade 6 students presented their annual Christmas concert. The program got underway with a Community Group Nativity play, followed with the Kindergarten -Grade 2 presenting Merry Christmas Welcome – “Very Bad” song. Kindergarten – Alyssa Champion, Jase Spence. Grade 1: Remi Campbell, Rylan Flannery, Dylan Fredette-Bent, Jake Griffith, Sadie Guenther, Marlie Hatt, Mason Johannesen, Beckett Morgan and Bentley Ratcliffe. Grade 2: Kolten Barwick, Maddox Menkema, Merrik Menkema, John Ratcliffe and Justin Shukin.

 The Grade 3-4 students presented “Reindeer Names” followed by the Christmas Choir singing Jingle Bells and Let It Snow. The first portion of the program concluded with a rocking “Santa Claus is Coming to a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train” dance. Grade 3: Eve Campbell, Noah Griffith, Easton Guenther, Noah Gustafson, Oliver Hatt, Ainslee McGregor, Aiden Morgan and Joey Spence. Grade 4:  Bristol Andries, Arianna Champion, Alexis Downey, Corsen Downey, Jett Lockie and Casey Therrien.

  The Grade 5 and 6 students performed “Arf On the Housetop” – The local pound is overcrowded and in an uproar. It’s just the pits in the pound! The cast included: Jesse Menkema – Father, Isabella Gustafson – Mother, Ashton Macfie-Lundgren – Child, Kelton Leforte – Child. Dogs: Eli Janz – Pointer, Rory Slack – Labrador, Myles McGregor – Chihuahua, Emily Griffith – Dalmation, Rory Kehler – Dachshund, Dayna Reid – Greyhound, Coralee Simms – Rottweiler, Dylan Radcliffe – Poodle. Santa – Gavin Wickham. Missing: Seoul Tilokani.

  The Kindergarten – Grade 4 students presented “Feliz Navidad” followed by the K-6 “Christmas Wish”.

  Everyone was delighted by a special visit from Santa Claus to wrap up a delightful evening.
