“It’s been really busy with people of all ages, the oldest being 94 and the youngest 10. We suggest children under 12 be accompanied by an adult. People are coming from Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Calgary and the surrounding area. It is great for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, team building, Christmas parties and so on. Sessions are booked by appointment and cost $20 per person. At this time, we are gearing up for the 2019 Haunt – The Nightmare Factory.

“We started renovating on January 19, 2019. There needed to be all new plumbing and electrical done. As well, Holly and Jamie, along with help from friends (much appreciation to Bob Carlson and Grant Cassils) and family set about to transform 3,000 square feet of mostly empty space into four amazing Escape Rooms. They have gone to great lengths to make these rooms look and feel authentic – and they have achieved this goal. “We even have a contact at Warner Bros. studios who helps us find hard-to-find items,” said Smith.  When you walk in a room, you are immediately transported to another place and another time. These rooms will be transformed yet again for The Nightmare Factory 2019 – to be held October 25, 26 & 27. On-line tickets are available at the Facebook page – Station X escape rooms. While there, make sure to Like and Share for a chance to win four free tickets. Advance tickets are $7.50 or $10/00 at the door. If you already have tickets, you can show your ticket at the door, get it scanned and go right in, avoiding the line-up.

An additional attraction to Station X is the gift shop in the front. “Angela Lay organized and opened “The Market” last summer/fall, situated in the mini-mall. Much of the same merchandise is available as well as many new, exciting items,” said Smith.

Angela Lay also offers several healing services. “This past April I received my certification in Energy and Crystal Healing. While completing my practicum this summer I have helped many people with sleep, anxiety and pain issues. I began looking for a more natural approach for help with my own anxiety which lead me to essential oils, crystals and other energy healing methods. After experiencing amazing results myself I am excited to be offering these services through Station X. My Crystal Healing Consultation has become a quick favorite to many! You can book an appointment with me Wednesdays or Fridays at Station X,” she said.

Be sure to visit Station X and The Nightmare Factory and The Market. Take the challenge of the escape rooms, love to be “scared” at the Haunt (Nightmare Factory) and shop for treasures at The Market. If you are successful in any of the escape rooms you are encouraged to write your name on the bathroom walls. Now, there’s something that just doesn’t happen every day. Also, Station X t-shirts are available in the gift shop and you are eligible to purchase a Nightmare Factory t-shirt once you go through the Haunt.

Smith, Roberts, Lay and friends are passionate about this endeavour and about making Deloraine a tourist destination all year round.
